The Carolina Panthers placed All-Pro tight end Greg Olsen on injured reserve Tuesday.
Olsen broke the fifth metatarsal on his right foot during the second quarter in a 9-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.
Monday, he underwent surgery and is eligible to return to action week 12 against the New York Jets.
For fantasy owners who spent a top pick on Olsen in the draft, it’s not time to hit the panic button quite yet. Reliable streamers Jason Witten and Coby Fleener should be available options as they are owned in less than three quarters of ESPN and Yahoo fantasy leagues.
