This year, Dallas was chosen as the site for the home of the 2018 NFL Draft. With the recent retirement of celebrated tight end Jason Witten, executives around the league expected the boys in blue to restock on the position with their second-round selection.
In one of the pettiest moves of the offseason, the Eagles manuevered up in the draft order to select Dallas Goedert, the very prospect the Cowboys had expressed a vested interest in. To add insult to injury, former Philadelphia kicker David Akers took to the podium to hound Dallas fans and announce the pick.
