Josh Anderson on Canadiens Loss vs. Ottawa: “This Wasn’t Our Best Performance, Let’s Be Honest”
Watch as Montreal’s winger Josh Anderson reacts to loss vs Ottawa Senators.
Following the loss, Anderson gave credit to Ottawa’s work ethic, “They’re a hard working team”.
“Said it since game 1 since we played them. They’re well coached, they got some young guys in there that just work hard every shift. They reload and just work really well together as a team. By no means we thought tonight was gonna be easy, they just had that extra step.”
In addition, Anderson expressed his disappointment in Montrael’s performance.
“Obviously tonight wasn’t our best performance, let’s be honest. I thought that in some parts of our game that we were good at and there were some parts that we need to improve on. It’s about how we respond now. We’re looking forward to Monday”, he finished.
Finishing the interview, Anderson noted positives to take away from loss.
“I thought for the most part, we had a lot of special teams tonight but I thought our 5 on 5 play was pretty good. Playing with [Corey] Perry, he’s obviously such a smart player. He puts the puck in good positions for you to retrieve it.”
