Hendricks on Baez, Rizzo, and Bryant: “What Those 3 Guys Brought To The Table is Irreplaceable”

The Chicago Cubs have cleaned house the last few days. They traded away their star core that brought them their first World Series in over 100 years, and Kyle Hendricks spoke on the impact of Javy Baez, Anthony Rizzo, and Kris Bryant now being gone from the locker room.

“It’s definitely been really tough,” says Hendricks. “Everything that Rossie (David Ross) said, really I can second all of that. Just to get to play with those three guys specifically for so long, you know? You just really gotta see how special that is, and take the positives from that. But it was a really tough time. Still is. It’s gonna take a while to process. It’s just very different around here without those guys.”

“It was a crazy 24 hours,” Hendricks concluded.
