Gordon Hayward Back On Court Shooting During Celtics Pre Game
Nearly three months since Gordon Hayward’s horrific injury on opening night, the Celtics foward has made strides and his rehab is coming along better than expected.
Hayward’s wife Robyn posted a video of Hayward shooting during warm-ups on her Instagram Wednesday before the Boston Celtics faced the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said that he expects Hayward to start traveling with the team as early as March.
Celtics all-star Al Horford says that he is more than ecstatic to get see more of Hayward on the road.
“Any chance he gets around us, it’s good to have him. He’s still a part of this and that’s the cool thing about it.”
There is no timetable for Hayward’s return, but the team has not ruled out on a possible comeback this season. Hayward is still months away from playing, but the Boston Celtics organization is making the right decision in monitoring his recovery. It’s important not to rush Gordon back and further injure his left ankle as the Celtics are sitting well at the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
