Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki gives his opinion on if the Warriors are good for the NBA.

Dirk Nowtizki says that Golden State Warriors were a doubled-edged sword for the 2016-2017 NBA season. They were great for the NBA in the 2018 finals because it was on of the most watched finals since Michael Jordan was there.

On the other hand, Golden State decimated everyone in their path on the way to the finals, finishing with a record of 12-0 before reaching the NBA Finals. Once in the NBA Finals, the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 in the 2017 NBA Finals.

The 2017-2018 NBA season was similar in the finals, as the Warriors swept the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the road to the finals was more competitive this year as they went to seven games in the Western Conference Finals.

The difference between this year and last year was both of the finals participants had more challenging roads to the finals than the previous year. With the likelihood of LeBron James leaving Cleveland and heading West for next season, one can only hope he lands on a team that can truly contend with the Warriors.
