The American League All-Stars look to continue dominance with a stacked team.

The American League All-Stars in 2018 is stupid good. The AL squad has dominated the past 20 years, winning 18 of the 20 match ups! Coupled with the starting pitching the American League has, my money is on them this summer. The National Leauge has some great stories with Matt Kemp and Nick Markakis, but they do not compare with the AL team.

The headliners for this team are pretty much the whole starting lineup and then some. Starting with the best player of our lifetime Mike Trout. Trout has been the best player in the league for seven years. 2018 has been his best season so far, and he is still getting better. The reigning MVP Jose Altuve won the popular vote even though he is not having his best season. That’s what winning a World Series can do for you. The two other Jose’s are also having breakout seasons. Abreu and Ramiez are slugging there way into this seasons MVP conversation.

Then we get to the AL East part of the starting lineup. Arguably the most dominant division in all of baseball has produced the most All-Stars. Manny Machado who is the victim of trade talks daily is putting his best season together. It could not come at a better time due to this being his last year under contract. Wilson Ramos has been a pleasant surprise at catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays and has earned his first starting gig in the summer classic. Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez have been out of their mind good this season, leading the best team in baseball all season long. If anyone were to challenge Mike Trout for MVP, it would be one of them. Last but not least by any means is Aaron Judge. Judge is keeping up with what he did last season, swatting home runs. He is again on pace to hit over 40 dingers again!
