Bo Scarborough speaks on his expectations with the Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys running back Bo Scarborough speaks on his expectations with the Cowboys.
In the 2018 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys drafted former Alabama running back Bo Scarborough with the 236th pick. Many wonder why would the Cowboys use one of their picks on a running back when they already have their franchise back in Ezekiel Elliott and back up Rod Smith.
There is not a clear reason why the Cowboys drafted the Scarborough other than his physical gifts of being a faster power back. When it came to his role, the former Alabama running back said he okay with sitting back and learning from his teammates, but will take advantage of his opportunities when given the chance.
“I am trying to learn from those guys and take a back seat right now,” Scarborough said. “You know, when my opportunity is given, I got to take advantage of it.”
Seeing as Scarborough and Smith have a somewhat similar body types and play with a similar running style, Scarborough will have to shine when he gets his chances. Cowboys nation knows that Zeke will get the lion share of the carries; this is good because the backs Dallas has are very capable of going over 100 yards on any defense, coupled with one of the best lines in the league. The Cowboys run game will be one to watch for this season.
