Oklahoma Sooner Kenneth Murray chose Oklahoma Sooners because of their “family” environment.

Before committing to Oklahoma University, Kenneth Murray took many visits to Big 12 football programs and some SEC programs. Murray turned down offers Texas Christian University (TCU) and from the University of Texas (UT). He also visited Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

He came to the Sooners over all these other power five football programs because he noted the “family” environment present at Oklahoma. Murray also mentioned trust. The people at Oklahoma were people he trust. Combining the family-type atmosphere and trust he had for the coaches brought him to Norman, Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has been know for recruiting high-star recruits year after year. According to 247sports.com, entering national signing day, the Sooners had the seventh ranked recruiting class in the nation. A school with a history of being successful and, as Murray puts it, a family environment makes for a very successful football program on and off the field.
