Damian Lillard talks Luka Doncic, Frustration with Blazers Play & His Leadership Role
Damian Lillard spoke about the Portland Trailblazers piling up the loss after losing to the Dallas Mavericks. That is the most frustrating part of being a competitor. They were not coming up with the loose ball opportunities against the Mavericks. The Mavericks were also getting extra opportunity off offensive rebounds.
Lillard thought they still had a chance late and he said that to the media following the lost he led the Blazers with 33 points against the Mavericks but was not able to lead his team to victory. He stated that they put themselves in a position where you have to be perfect down the stretch, and they were able to execute their game plan properly. They as players have to go the extra mile to get a win and need to show the desire to want to win games moving forward.
As for his thoughts on Luka Doncic, Lillard likes his game and thinks he can play. He said you wonder when European players come over to play in the NBA are they game ready and Luka is as advertise. He can shoot the ball, crafty, competitive, and knows how to use his size. He is a good player.
