Dallas Mavericks Rookie Luka Doncic fresh off being named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for October/November, talks to the media after the Mavericks secure their eighth straight victory on their home floor, as they beat the Portland Trailblazers 111-102.

Doncic talked about playing against Damian Lillard and C. J. McCollum for the first time.

“They have great players in Damian Lillard and C. J. McCollum they are going to make a run. So, we have to defend them and we did a great job most of the game,” said Doncic. Luka would end up leading the Mavericks in scoring with 21 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. While in a losing effort Damian Lillard scored 33 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Also, after the game, Doncic talked about DSJ’s increase in defense over the last couple of weeks.

“He is amazing and he is one of the fastest guys in the league. He is different and he is getting better and better. He helps us a lot and you don’t see it much in the statistics, but us a lot. We have great chemistry and I look forward to playing more games with him.”

Next up for the Mavericks is the Houston Rockets at home at the American Airlines Center.
