Patrick Beverley & Shai Gilgeous-Alexander speak about being down 3-1 to Golden State
Patrick Beverley and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander spoke to the media following the Los Angeles Clippers 113-105 loss against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
“I think that from the beginning of the season, we’ve been self motivated,” Beverly said. “We look at every game at one game at a time. It’s 3-1, that’s the obvious, but to us, we just have to win a game.”
The Clippers will face the Warriors on the road on Wednesday in game five as they look to keep their season alive.
Patrick Beverly praised Gilgeous-Alexander after his impressive game four performance.
“He loves the grind,” Beverley said. “He never folds, very poised, cool under pressure. I think what you guys seen tonight, despite the loss, is a star in the making.”
Gilgeous-Alexander had a team-high 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting in only his fourth career playoff game.
“I watched film, and I saw the spots where I could take advantage, offensively, and I tried to do so today,” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
