Lou Williams on Leonard: “Yeah, he talks”

Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams spent some time with reporters after their 134-109 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.

“I thought this homestand was great for us to build off of,” says Williams. “I think we learned that we have to play with energy. We have to play with pace. Make sure the ball is getting shared and I think we did that on this trip.”

The Clippers have won five straight and are 11-1 at home this season, which is a franchise record.

“Just playing hard and playing together,” says Williams of the key to their success at home. “Just continuing to build game in and game out. You know, our fans have been great. We’ve had some battles here at home early in the season, and they’ve been very supportive and we’ve played pretty well.”

When asked if he jokes around with new superstar teammate Kawhi Leonard in the locker room, Williams playfully responds: “Yeah, he talks.”
