Bradley Beal speaks on rookie Rui Hachimura, duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis & the Wizards’ 2019 Outlook
Beal: “We have goals to make it into the playoffs….It’s up to me to lead”
Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal is done talking. He’s ready to get on the court, lead this team and show the NBA universe that the Wizards belong.
“A lot of people don’t expect us to do much, but we’re confident in who we are and what we’re able to do. We’re a young team. You know, we play hard and we compete every night.”
“I’m ready to get going,” Beal added. The Wizards open the season up against the Dallas Mavericks as they will face the new superstar duo of Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic.
“They’re gonna be good for a very long time,” says Beal. “European guys who have the ability to change the dynamic of the game and they’re the two focal points for every game this season. So we got our hands full, but we know what we got to take away from them. Make them uncomfortable.”
As for his rookie teammate Rui Hachimura, Beal says “he’s a quick learner. He’s able to grasp things on the fly and put them into action very quickly.”
