Pat Beverley on the Clippers: “We’re f***ing dangerous”

Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley gave much respect to Dallas Mavericks’ point guard Luka Doncic after defeating them 114-99.

“I don’t think one person can stop a player like Luka. It was a complete team effort. We came in and we did the right thing. We stayed disciplined. That led to a lot of our early offense. We just tried to make it as hard as possible for him tonight and it worked out in our favor.”

NBA Hall of Famer, Gary Payton, challenged Beverley in the offseason to become the second point guard ever to win Defensive Player of the Year. Beverly was informed post-game of Payton rooting for him to win the award.

“I mean that’s definitely an honor getting a statement from a great like that,” says Beverley.

Beverley also voiced confidence in the Clippers’ overall defense, even going to say “collectively as a team, defensively we’re fucking dangerous.”
