Dana White speaks with Fanatics View after Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman’s recent confrontation during Super Bowl week

Dana White made it clear and simple. He can’t have his superstar athletes running around causing fights in public. It’s unacceptable. After BMF champion Jorge Masvidal and current Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman had a war of words at Radio Row during Super Bowl week, White wasn’t too ecstatic about it as people may think.

“People think because I’m a promoter, that I love when that happens. I’m like ‘cha-ching’. But that’s not the case. When that stuff happens, it’s bad. We’re here. We’re at the Super Bowl. It’s Radio Row and you’re acting like neanderthals in the middle of this place. And for regular people in here, it scares them. People get scared. You were probably scared. I know you were scared.”

“First of all, we’re lucky the police didn’t get involved,” White continued. “Second of all, then the commission gets involved. These two are going to fight in Vegas in July, and they have 25 minutes to do whatever the hell they want to each other. They don’t need to do it right here in the middle of Super Bowl Radio Row.”

When asked about the Diaz brothers, Nick and Nate, White responded “I don’t think Nick is going to come back. You’ll see Nate fight again. I don’t think you’ll see Nick. But who knows.”
