Chris Woodward Reacts to Texas Rangers Allowing Full Capacity 40,000+ Fans for Opening Day
Rangers manager Chris Woodward spoke to media prior to the 2021 Major League season.
Woodward spoke on the possibility of playing at Globe Life with full capacity following the pandemic.
“Honestly I’m just excited about having fans. I think we all are, in midst of an entire year now. We were obviously excited to start spring training with fans. Obviously we gotta follow health and safety protocols, but I know we’re gonna do that. I don’t know how that looks as of right now. Obviously we’re gonna get more information as we go, but we’re just excited as an organization and as a team to play in front of fans.”
In addition, Woodward talked about the excitement of fans experiencing the new stadium.
“For sure yeah”, he said. “It’s kind of like have a brand new car for a year that you couldn’t get out of the garage. You kind of want to show it off, and let people see it and enjoy it. Obviously we have to responsible with how we do it. I fully believe that we will. If there’s a lot of people, we gotta make sure we’re taking all the precautions necessary to keep people safe. At the same time, we dream of this as kids, playing in front of fans, especially our fans. They’re gonna be loud, and they’re gonna be exciting. We’ve missed that for a while now”, he finished.
