Craig Kimbrel discusses trade sending him to Chicago.

Following a multitude of trades involving big names, all-star closer Craig Kimbrel is headed to the Chicago White Sox as he continues another dominant year on the mound.

“Saying goodbye is always tough”, says Kimbrel of the trade. “With that, comes a great opportunity, and a great ballclub on the other side.”

Kimbrel discussed joining Liam Hendriks and the White Sox bullpen coming together.

“I’ve met him over the years”, he said on Hendriks. “There’s a little bit of relationship there, I’m sure to grow over the next couple of months.”

“It was definitely different”, Kimbrel said on Cubs clubhouse after numerous trades. “Something you don’t see very often. Especially with the number of guys, and just the last couple of days, it’s tough.”

In addition, Kimbrel spoke on new opportunities and Cubs glory days.

“We all came here to Chicago, we had a purpose and a goal, and a lot of those guys did it. I came here a couple of years ago and I wasn’t able to help out with that. Here we are, getting opportunities to go to other places and try to win.”
