The short handed Denver Nuggets suffered a 12 point road loss to the Chicago Bulls. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic spoke to the media about their performance and his relationship with Nikola Vucevic.

As for the game, Jokic felt as though he needed to score more. He took the blame for missing easy shots. The Serbian big man believes those easy shots would’ve got him rolling more. One reporter pointed out that Jokic had surpassed Larry Bird on the all time triple double list. To which Jokic responded: “It is what it is.” He is not focused on individual accolades. All he cares about is if his team wins.

Other than the game itself, Jokic spent some time talking about his opponent Nikola Vucevic. He shared that he and Vucevic have a strong relationship. Vucevic even helped Jokic through some personal stuff. The two play video games together and have an all around good relationship beyond the court. Jokic sees improvements in Vucevic’s game. He thinks he has landed in a good situation in Chicago.

As the season advances, the Nuggets look to get more bodies back on the court. They are currently struggling with injuries and Covid protocols. However, that is no excuse to lose games in the eyes of the Joker.
