Watch as Yanks manager Aaron Boone talks Shohei Ohtani following series loss against Angels.

Regardless of his rough outing in the final game of the series, Ohtani crushed 3 homers in the first two games at Yankee Stadium.

Boone had a lot to say about the Japanese two-way star after being asked what he’s noticed so far.

“Just how great a player he is on both sides”,  Boone told media. “He’s not just really good at doing both, he’s elite in the batters box. Obviously tremendous power, plate discipline, really elite speed. He puts pressure on the defense with his speed. And obviously he’s a dominant power pitcher on the mound and to have that all rapped up in one guy… It’s truly impressive what he’s doing here in 2021”, he finished.

Approaching the 2021 all-star game, Ohtani’s put up a mind-boggling 31 homers, leading the MLB. The star also has a modest 3.60 ERA with 83 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched this year.
