Bregman on Correa: “He’s definitely a leader”

The Boston Red Sox tied up the ALCS 1-1 after defeating the Astros 9-5 in Game 2. Alex Bregman spoke with the media and talked about the game, Carlos Correa’s role as a leader on this team, and Bregman’s walkout song.

“He’s definitely a leader,” says Bregman of Correa. “But just as a baseball player, he’s super intelligent. He works extremely hard. Has a plan and executes his plan and helps other guys do the same.”

Bregman was asked about his walkup song “Wanna Be a Baller” and how important it is to the city itself considering it was made by Houston native Lil’ Troy.

“I just like that song. Since the playoffs started, everybody started singing it, which is pretty cool. I know my wife and friends and everybody in the stands tell me everybody sings the song after it’s done. I thought that was pretty cool.”
