Cora on Devers: “He’s a presence. He’s a force”
Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora talked about third baseman Rafael Devers and what he means to this team. Devers, who will turn 25 next week, is touted by Cora as “one of the best young players” in the MLB right now.
“He’s one of the best young players in the big leagues. The thing is that you feel like he’s been around for a long time. When you talk about young players, the conversation starts with Tatis, Guerrero, and Soto. They’re really good. They’re great. But this kid since 2017 when he showed up in Seattle, was good. He’s been good in October too. With time, I do believe those guys will be a part of October, but right now, he’s the only one out of that group and he’s been really successful.”
