Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper has been on a power surge through the first 17 games of the 2018 MLB season. The offensive phenom leads the Majors in home runs and RBIs, and though he likely won’t reach it, is on pace for an eye-popping 66 homers.
Monday, Harper unloaded on a pitch down the center of home plate and sent it over the fence in right-center field. While mashing home runs is nothing new for the five-time all-star, what followed contact with the fastball left everyone in attendance unquestionably stunned.
