Rob Gray lifts Houston over San Diego State with last second layup

Senior Point Guard Rob Gray has been the undisputed leader of the Houston Cougars on their path to the NCAA Tournament this season. Head Coach Kelvin Sampson has called Gray’s number in tight situations, and the crafty floor general came up big yet again against San Diego State on Thursday.

Gray was cool, calm and collected with the game on the line, and thanks to his late game heroics, the Cougars lived to see another day as they advanced to the second round of March Madness. Houston’s road to the final won’t get any easier as they take on a red hot Michigan roster, but with Gray at the helm, they’re always in the game.
