DeMar DeRozan Explains Knicks Loss Making Him More Hungry & Zach LaVine “Tough” Playing Hurt
DeRozan on missing game-winner after comeback: “It sucks”
DeMar DeRozan spoke after the Bulls 104-103 loss to the Knicks and talked about coming up short on the final shot.
“I’m happy with the look. I really didn’t expect to be that open. You know, I’m trying to get my feet set. Kind of rushed it at the end. I live with it. It sucks. Especially for the team. Fought extremely hard to get that win. I wanted to pull it off for them. But you know, can’t make every shot.”
DeRozan also says that the team is still building after five games and trying to find their groove.
“Still building and still trying to get our rhythm. Still trying to get an understanding of where our shot is gonna come from. We find lapses where sometimes we are rushing and kind of forcing it a little bit. But that’s expected. It’s gonna come with time.”
“I’m proud of those guys. We kept fighting. We didn’t want to lose the game. It makes you more hungry and eager to get back out there and correct your wrongs.”
