Doc Rivers says Patrick Beverley “Has The Biggest Heart I’ve Ever Seen” in Any Player
Despite ultimately losing the series to the Golden State Warriors, the actions of one player caught the eye of his coach
What will be remembered from the first-round series between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers will be the result- a Warriors win in six games.
What won’t be remembered, however, is the pride and joy that Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley played with each game because it was in a losing effort.
In the team’s Game 6 loss, Beverley led the team with 14 rebounds from the point guard position- more than Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala combined for the Warriors.
“He’s just a tough artery and a pleasure to coach,” Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said. “Never give in guy.”
Rivers called Beverley “unstattable” during the press conference because there are no statistics that can truly define his actions on the court.
“He just does so many things for your team in the right way,” Rivers said. “He’s a good guy to have.”
