John Wall drops the hammer on Michael Beasley
Earlier this week, Michael Beasley of the New York Knicks shocked the basketball world when he told Bleach Report’s Yaron Weitzman that he’s on par with Earth’s best ballers.
“As far as talent-wise, I match up with Kevin [Durant], LeBron, I match up with the best guys in the world,” Beasley said. “I’m not being cocky; it’s just always how I felt.”
I guess nobody told John Wall that Beasley can hang with the best of them before he put the Knicks forward on his personal highlight reel. The Washington Wizards Allstar point guard utterly embarrassed Beasley with a crafty crossover that he finished at the rim with a left-handed jam.
Washington took home the W 104-100 and their undisputed leader John Wall left the matchup with a spectacular stat line. With less than a half under his belt at game’s end, the lightning-quick playmaker stuffed his boxscore with 19 points and six assists.
Though I can appreciate the infinite confidence Michael Beasley has in himself, maybe he should let his game do the talking before his mouth. Luckily for him, the Wizards and Knicks play in the same conference and he’ll have plenty of opportunities to return the favor to John Wall.
