Marcus Morris having a “Tough Time” after Clippers loss to Nuggets
Marcus Morris can’t get a grip on dropping series against Nuggets.
The Clippers saw a comfortable 3-1 lead fall from their reach at the hands of the Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals. Rather than seal the series with a victory, Denver rallied with three straight wins to take the series over Los Angeles.
Forward Marcus Morris couldn’t put the pieces together on what lead to the team’s downhill fall.
“Honestly, I can’t put my finger on it,” said Morris. “Can’t take nothing from them. Guys played hard, played to the wire. Every game down and above they kept the same attitude.”
With a 104-89 victory in game 7, the Nuggets advance to meet the Lakers Friday in the Western Conference finals. In a rare occurrence in NBA history, the shocking rally was difficult to process for a visibly fazed Morris.
“It’s definitely the toughest time I’ve had in the NBA,” said the 31-year-old Morris. “It’s unfortunate but…. I can’t put the words around this. I don’t even know what words to use right now.”
