Earlier this offseason the Los Angeles Clippers lost All-NBA point guard Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets via a sign and trade deal.

Although they received a haul of Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Darrun Hilliard, DeAndre Liggins, Kyle Wiltjer, a 2018 protected first-round pick and cash considerations, the Clippers still found themselves with the shorter end of the stick.

Clippers fans everywhere were reasonably scared to think the departure of Paul meant the end of Lob City in LA, but after their first preseason game it appears Lob City is in good hands with Miloš Teodosić at the helm.

For over a decade, Teodosić has been wowing European fans with his creative passing angles and knock down three point jumper. This season, Teodosić will finally get to fulfill his NBA dream and play among the best players in the world.

“I decided long time ago that I wanted to play in the NBA, but I didn’t have that much chances because I was always under contract and I was not free agent,” Teodosić said. “This summer I was free and the first big opportunity was here with the Clippers.”

The Teodosić signing on July 10 was met with little publicity or fanfare. Nevertheless, if he keeps dishing up sweet dimes to teammates, American basketball fans may soon come to see why hoops experts deem the floor general the best European player never to grace an NBA court.
