Dwyane Wade with the beautiful spin move in Cleveland debut
A new era began for the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. Kyrie Irving is gone for good, and his replacements Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder, and Jeff Green threw on the wine and gold uniforms for the first time in competitive play.
The quartet suited up for 57 total minutes but left their handprint on the game with a combined 28 points on 10 for 19 shooting.
Although the Cavs prized player from the Kyrie Irving deal, Isaiah Thomas, didn’t play due to injury rehab, fellow Cleveland newcomer Dwyane Wade gave the fans something to root for.
Early on in the second quarter, Flash turned back the hands of time and put his defender in the spin cycle for an easy layup with his patented spin move.
Cleveland lost the game 109-93 to the inexperienced Atlanta Hawks. Despite dropping their preseason opener, their projected rotation players looked good in their limited playing time.
The Cavs may have been forced to trade Kyrie Irving, but what they lost in his talent they gained in much needed depth. Fans should be bursting at the seam with excitement at the limitless possibilities this lineup has in store once LeBron and IT join the mix.
