Green on Doncic: “Luka’s one of the best players in the world”
Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Green took part in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as a member of the Australian National Team. Australia outlasted a Luka Doncic-led Slovenian squad by a score of 107-93 to secure the bronze medal, and Green spoke on the dynamic between the two teammates throughout the course of the Olympics.
“For the most part, I’d see Luka around. We would interact and talk. That’s my guy. But I mean at the end of the day when you come to the Olympics, you want to be a part of the team.”
“I think we both did a good job of being able to connect with each other and talk to each other,” says Green. “But at the same time, be out of taking the whole team experience and being around our team chemistry-wise. It’s just kind of how it works, especially with Covid restrictions. But it was great seeing him around and we were able to have some good conversations. Obviously, Luka is one of the best players in the world. So I’m pretty sure for anyone, it would be cool to watch Luka.”
