Rajon Rondo Reacts to Cleveland Cavs Acquiring Caris LeVert & Cavaliers Becoming a Contending Team
Rondo on LeVert: “I know he can help put the ball in the hole”
Rajon Rondo reacted to the Cavaliers making a move for Caris LeVert before the trade deadline and what the expectations of the team are moving forward.
“I haven’t seen him much but I know he can help put the ball in the hole. Tonight, he was the first person that was on the scouting report. I think he’s coming off of 42 points, 19-26 from the field. One three-pointer, only a couple of free throws. So he’s very efficient when the ball is in his hands.”
“He’s a willing playmaker as hell,” Rondo continued. “Another guy that you can just put the ball in his hands and he is gonna make a play happen. He can erupt for 40 or 50 any night. Having a guy like that on your team makes my job a lot easier and it makes everyone’s job a lot easier.”
Rondo also touched on the Cavaliers overachieving this season and how they can build on this moving forward.
“We need some respect, and we’ll have to go get it in the playoffs. Nevertheless, we can compete with anyone.”
