Slam gets up close and personal with Duke commit Tre Jones
With the top three players in the class of 2018, Duke basketball is set to welcome one of the most highly anticipated freshman classes in college hoops history. Although the starting five from last year’s Elite Eight Blue Devil squad is likely to be lost to the NBA Draft, it won’t be long before the blue blood program fields a new roster rich with NBA talent.
Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett, and Cam Reddish are the big names leading the Duke hype train, but it’ll be freshmen point guard Tre Jones who’ll be expected to steer the Blue Devils in the right direction. As the younger brother of current NBA player, Duke alumni, and former NCAA Champion Tyus Jones, an enormous amount of pressure will be placed on Tre’s shoulders to live up to the legacy left behind by his elder sibling.
