Following a tightly contested matchup with WKU in the Conference USA Championship game, Marshall University advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1987.
Leading scorer for the Thundering Herd Jon Elmore stepped up with a performance for the ages while head coach Dan D’Antoni basked in the glory of leading his alma mater back to into the free-for-all that is March Madness.
