Errol Spence fires back at Terence Crawford: ‘Who is he fighting next?’
Errol Spence was unfazed by Terence Crawford’s comments towards him.
Errol Spence assured that he doesn’t need Terence Crawford much either. This came after “Bud” stated that “Errol needs him, more than he needs Errol.” in a podcast interview with Joe Rogan. Rather, the IBF welterweight champion looks through a different route.
“I’m fighting Shawn Porter to unify,” said Spence. “And I got Manny Pacquiao in the wings, things like that. He feel like I need him more than he need me. But every time you look, he’s been calling me out; on Youtube and things like that. So, who need who more?”
Spence (25-0, 21KOs) will take on WBC champion Shawn Porter (30-2-1, 17KOs) in a welterweight unification bout Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. “The Truth” has also called for a fight against Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39KOs), who claimed the WBA (Secondary) welterweight title from Keith Thurman in July. A victory over Porter can set up a potential meeting with the Filipino legend.
Crawford (35-0, 26KOs) holds the WBO version of the title, and is set to make his third defense on Dec. 14; though an opponent has yet to be named. Kell Brook (38-2, 26KOs) was rumored as a potential opponent, whom Spence stopped in May 2017 for the IBF title.
“Who is he fighting next? Nobody knows who he’s fighting next,” said Spence. “He’s waiting around. Probably fighting Kell Brook, my leftovers.”
