Tyson Fury says he’s been ‘wrestling with bears’ in preparation for Deontay Wilder
Tyson Fury talks about his preparation in training camp for his upcoming heavyweight championship fight against Deontay Wilder on Dec. 1st
It’s been clear that Tyson Fury has a sense of humor when speaking to the media in anticipation for his title fight against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder on Dec. 1st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Maybe he was displaying that sense of humor again when asked if there was anything that he was doing different in this training camp that he had not done before.
“Yes, I’ve been wrestling with bears,” said Fury, smiling. “On a daily basis, every morning at 6 a.m. You know, I’m nice and slick; he can’t handle me. They claw me all the time and you know, get a few little shots; but I’m just touching and touching and slipping and sliding. You know how it goes.”
Fury, (27-0,19 KOs), has a big challenge when he faces Wilder (40-0,39 KOs) for the title. The winner is likely to face unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (22-0,21 KOs) next. Fury was just having fun when talking about wrestling with bears in preparation for the fight, at least we hope.
