The Rams nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, Andrew Whitworth, has high praise for head coach Sean McVay before the Super Bowl
Whitworth spoke on challenging the Patriots offense multiple times, all over the field, to create a sense of disruptiveness and had high praise for the Rams wideout core and how all of their receivers are so active in not just route running but creating run schemes and doing their own part on every single down, not just play action or drop back passes.
Whitworth also talked about how McVay’s ability to educate the younger guys on the team has helped create the motto for the Rams that ‘you’re only as strong as your weakest link’ as McVay has tried to equally work on both sides of the ball and all positions to create a well-rounded team.
