Aaron Donald on Rams Super Bowl Loss to Patriots: “We We’re Supposed To Win”
The back to back NFL Defensive Player of the Year handled the Rams Super Bowl loss a little differently than some of his other teammates.
Aaron Donald on Sunday night during his postgame interview seemed more frustrated and short worded than the likes of Jared Goff and Todd Gurley.
Donald did, however, place some of the blame on himself such as focusing in on missed gap assignments and not generating enough pressure on certain drop back pass plays, but it was obvious in his demeanor and body language that he was very disappointed with the Rams offense in only putting up 3 points in the entire game, punting on their first 8 drives.
If someone would’ve told Aaron Donald before the game they would’ve held the Patriots to 13 points in Atlanta and they lost the Super Bowl, I don’t think he would’ve believed it for a second.
Donald is this year’s DPOY again in 2019 and this Super Bowl loss will only help him work even harder, and we could even see Donald break the regular season sack record next season.
