Patrice Bergeron “Not Sure” About Boston Bruins Future & Reflects on Bruins 2021 Season
Watch as Boston’s Patrice Bergeron reacts to Bruins round 2 loss to Islanders.
Bergeron spoked to media following the Game 7 loss and expressed his disappointment from a possible semi-final series.
“It’s always a missed opportunity. You want to keep going at it and it’s hard. As you get older you know that you don’t get that many chances to achieve your goal and to have a team that can actually compete for first Stanley Cup. It’s always disappointing”, he finished.
Bergeron also expressed his uncertainty in what the future holds with Boston.
“I’m not sure”, he told media. “Obviously, it’s not up to me. You always want to keep the same group. I feel like we have a great group here, and we’ll see what happens.”
In addition, Bergeron reflected on the Bruins 2021 season and “challenging” year due to the pandemic.
“It’s been a challenging year on many levels”, Bergeron said on Covid restrictions and protocols. “It wasn’t as smooth as usual, and there was a lot of things you had to think about and worry about. I think I am obviously, just like everyone else, looking forward to a normal summer..”
