Irving Scores 28 As Celtics Fends Off Wizards in OT

Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving scored 12 of the last 17 points for the Celtics as they survive 110-104 in overtime.
Irving finished the game with 28 points, six assists, and 5 rebounds shooting nine for nineteen from the field. Jaylen Brown also tallied 18 points, four rebounds, and made three 3’s from the perimeter.
Wizards guard Otto Porter Jr. had 27 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals in the losing effort. Bradley Beal scored a quiet 18 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Beal struggled shooting from the field as he only converted seven of his 27 shot attempts.
With the victory, the Celtics are 40-16 for the season and remain in 1st place in the Eastern Conference.
