Allen Crabbe talks about playing more like himself and his 27-point night against the Mavericks.

Although the Nets came up short against the Mavericks in a 119-113 loss, Allen Crabbe feels that he played at his rhythm. Crabbe scored a season-high 27 points, was 10 of 16 from the field; and 7 of 11 in three-pointers.

“Like I told you guys the other night, a shooter’s gotta shoot,” said Crabbe. “It’ll click. I’ve been doing all the things that I needed to do. I knew that if I stuck with the process, things would start clicking. And I’m glad that it did tonight.”

Crabbe had suffered a left sprained ankle injury near the end of the pre-season, but he insisted that getting his rhythm back has mostly been a mental thing.

“It’s definitely more mental,” said Crabbe. “I know what I’m capable of, I know what I can do. So me going through those struggles didn’t have to do with skill-set or anything like that. I was just like you know, thinking too much; pressing too much. Last couple of games, I’ve been feeling like my old self and tonight was a big night.”
