Rangers manager Chris Woodward spoke to Fanatics View following 9-4 loss to the Angels.

Woodward recounted the emotions felt by the Rangers after Tyler Skaggs tragic passing.

“We were trying to comprehend the impact that something like that would have on our ball club. I can’t even describe the feelings that they were feeling out there, but it affected us in some way. They deserved to win today, definitely”, he finished.

In addition, Woodward was asked about the Rangers pitching difficulties during the loss.

“Honestly, today is one of those days where I’m not going to hold any judgement”, he told media. “It’s not a normal day – I’m not going to even comment on that.”

Woodward also discussed the emotions felt in the Rangers dugout.

“It’s hard to put into words – we all feel it in baseball. It’s a difficult circumstance, we’ve all had to deal with tragedy in our lives. We’re going to have to come out tomorrow and try to win a game, and they are too.”

“We felt like that was the right thing to do for them”, Woodward spoke on the lack of music in Globe Life Park. “You don’t realize it until it’s not there; it was definitely a different feel for sure”, he finished.
