Elvis Andrus spoke with Fanatics View about the Rangers’ young dangerous lineup and his new leadership role in the club.

“It’s amazing man”, Andrus told Fanatics View regarding the club’s young impressive power-hitting line-up. “They’re just going to keep getting better”, Andrus added, voicing the improvements seen by the Rangers’ young stud performers Joey Gallo, Rougned Odor, and Nomar Mazara.

When asked about his new leadership role in the club, Andrus responded, “It comes naturally”. Elvis Andrus, who took over the role following Adrian Beltre’s retirement, said “For me, I want to see my teammates get better”.

Andrus, who has been with the Rangers since 2009 told the media, “The more you play, the knowledge is going to get better”. Andrus explained, “The young guys always want to get more knowledge”, and “Its easy for me to help them”. With the conclusion of Adrian Beltre’s legendary career in 2018, it seems as if the Rangers have found a worthy replacement to the role – in that of Elvis Andrus.

After a series win against the Chicago Cubs, Andrus spoke about facing former teammates Yu Darvish and Cole Hamels. “They’re the rival now”, Andrus said, “We know how tough of pitchers they are”. Andrus then added, “We expected to get it done”.

The Rangers lineup indeed got it done, scoring 8 combined runs against the club’s former pitchers, earning a series victory against the 2016 World Series champs.
