Eugene Omoruyi expressed his excitement in joining Dallas and loving the organization.

“Just coming here is great, and I love the hot weather here also. I love to be here, and it’s a great program. I’m happy I’m here.”

Omoruyi also spoke on him watching Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki in order for him to master his own fadeaway shot.

“It’s a shot since I’m undersized sometimes, I can get over higher taller defenders. I’m very comfortable taking that shot and I watch a lot of films on Dirk to get that shot. Just to learn how he used it, I kind of mimic it in certain ways just to get my shot off.”

“Just to win,” Omoruyi said on his role with the Mavericks. “I’m a dog, I like to go out there and compete at the highest level. Anything it takes to win, and anything it takes to help my teammates is what I’m gonna do.”
