Ben Simmons Details Tobias Harris Impact on 76ers & Reacts to Playing Center Position
Philadelphia point guard Ben Simmons spoke to media following win against Pacers.
Simmons spoke on teammate Tobias Harris’ impact to the 76ers offense.
“He’s been great you know”, he said. “He’s a huge piece for us, especially late game. He’s getting comfortable. I feel like he’s finding himself and knowing when to attack and figuring out where he wants the ball or where he wants to score it from. We’re just trying to get him in those spots.” “He should be an all-star this year. He’s definitely an all-star”, Simmons added.
In addition, Simmons talked about the talent he’s seen from the younger players on the roster.
“Yeah they’ve been doing great. I’ll start with Matisse [Thybulle], he’s continuing to get better. His confidence is growing. Tyrese [Maxey] obviously, is still learning but he’s going out there with the same confidence no matter how much playing time he’s getting and continuing to grow. I’m proud of both those guys”, he finished.
Simmons also spoke on playing center in several games.
“It’s mainly just concepts and communication for me. Making sure our defense, I’m able to help my guys if my man is setting a pick or whatever situation it is. Just being that big presence and trying to get every rebound I can, even if guys are bigger than me down there. Just trying to feel that spot until we get a big back in there.”
