Watch as Rockies third basemen Josh Fuentes talks to media following new starting role in Colorado.

Fuentes spoke on his confidence playing in Colorado and feeling comfortable at the highest level.

“My teammates are trusting in me”, Fuentes told media. “I think that kind of self-confidence and that confidence from the team is really helping me out. Usually I wasn’t a starter, but it seems like now I’ve been starting a couple games and I’ve been feeling comfortable. Yesterday I had a better game, had better at-bats. It’s all about getting in there and getting a rhythm, and once I get in a rhythm, the skies the limit.”

In addition, Fuentes spoke on the Rockies proving fans wrong in 2021 season.

“I feel like we’re battling, we’re battling our butts out. I know a lot of people probably would count the Dodgets sweeping us, win by 10 runs everytime. But we’ve kind of shown people, shown the Dodgers, and most importantly shown ourselves that we can hang with this guys.”
