Willie Calhoun on His Return to Major League Baseball & Minor Leagues Teaching Him Mental Toughness
In an interview with Fanatics View, Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun speaks on his journey of returning to the MLB.
Calhoun spoke on his mindset since being promoted from Triple-A and returning to the Rangers lineup.
“My whole mindset is to come here and help them win no matter what, under any circumstance”. Calhoun told Fanatics View. “Doing whatever I can to make sure the team wins, and give it my all when i get out there on the field.”
In addition, Calhoun spoke on his time spent in Triple-A Round Rock preceding his call-up.
“I always stay positive down there, I didn’t let it affect me. I think it definitely helped me become mentally strong – that’s something you need in baseball. There’s a lot of ups and downs, one day you could be at the top and the next day you could be at your lowest. It definitely molds you into becoming mentally tough”, he finished.
