Zack Greinke Reacts to Clayton Kershaw Still Being Dominant After Injuries: “It’s Pretty Impressive”

The Astros took a 9-2 loss as Greinke went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs against his former club. Clayton Kershaw dazzled for Los Angeles, going 7 & 2/3rd innings, allowing just 1 run.
Greinke’s detailed his struggles and command issues later through the innings.
“I threw more balls than ideal”, he told media. “It all started, maybe it was the 4th inning, just getting behind some guys and not throwing strikes. It ended up hurting us pretty bad while I was pitching, and after.”
In addition, Greinke marveled at former teammate Clayton Kershaw’s continuous dominance on the mound.
“It’s pretty amazing. Maybe it’s more common than I realized, but he’s had some injuries where you’d think it’s gonna hurt him, and somehow he bounces back. I wouldn’t say as good as ever, but pretty impressive how good he’s done the last couple of years…”
