DeMarcus Cousins on Paul George Respect: “Stop The PG Slander, One of the Most Gifted Players…”
Watch as Clippers Demarcus Cousins speaks to media following win against Portland Trail Blazers.
Cousins expressed his love for Paul George, from both playing on the U.S. national team, to becoming teammates in Los Angeles.
“PG cool as fan”, Cousins told media. “He leads by example, he comes in, he works everyday. Every night he steps on the court, you’re gonna get an A plus effort. One of the most talented players I’ve ever seen lace ’em up.
Cousins went on to voice his frustration on slander towards Paul, following his decreased production from last year.
“We gotta stop the PG slander. It just won’t be accepted around me. He’s one of the most gifted players in this league. Definitely fortunate to be his teammate, greatful for it”, he finished.
Additionally, Cousins spoke on narratives faced by NBA players and being greatful for teammates in Los Angeles.
“The narratives aren’t set by the players. And it sucks that guys have to continue to go through these ups and downs to be able to play the game they love. With that being said, I’m greatful for the opportunity. I plan on taking full advantage of it. I’m greatful for my teammates for the fact of speaking on my behalf.”
