There are high expectations for Dennis Smith and the Mavs this upcoming season. After a solid rookie year Smith is looking to be the best player he can be and win games. With a roster with more talent the Mavs have a legit chance to be a playoff team this year.

Smith dominated summer runs showing that he has worked on his game and is ready for the 2018-2019 season. With the addition of DeAndre Jordan the Mavs have a strong piece in the middle that they’ve been lacking. Smith said playing with a guy like Jordan is a dream for a player like him. He also seems optimistic about playing with rookie Luka  Doncic. If Smith and Doncic can successfully play off the ball the at times the Mavs can have a breakout year.
